Get Caught in the Rapture
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Myesha D. Jenkins is a wife, mother of one teenage daughter, teacher, and recently published novelist. Writing a novel was something the former PTA mom always wanted to accomplish. She is a true testament to the quote, “Commitment leads to action. Action brings your dream closer.” (Marcia Wieder)
The result of Jenkins’ commitment – an “evocative novel [that] explores sexuality, marriage, friendship and religion.” Rapture is the story of two women.
“Candace Vance and Adia Knight are two African-American women–married to loving husbands–who are looking for self-actualization in their personal and professional lives. They are drawn to each other, becoming fast friends. Soon, they become entangled by their consuming love and passion. Candace envisions a forever love with Adia. Adia is content with the love they have right now. Their tumultuous bond threatens the very foundation of the lives they have built with their husbands.”
With glowing reviews and a five-star rating on Good Reads, Rapture is definitely a literary work to have in your home library.
Jenkins earned her Bachelor of Arts in religious studies with a double major in history from Emory University, the Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and the Master of Arts in Teaching from Mercer University.
